Food Network Canada is serving up another helping of its hit reality series, but one key ingredient will be missing. Season 2 of Top Chef Canada will once again scour the country for a bushel of culinary kings and queens, and have them compete head to head against one another, but host Thea Andrews will be MIA.
Food says via press release that Andrews “will be missed this season as she and her husband are expecting their second child.” As a result, the hunt for a new host is ongoing, with the network making an announcement soon. Where can I sign up?
Head judge Mark McEwan will be back for a second helping, as is resident judge Shereen Arazm, who utters the best caustic remarks when a cheftestant stumbles with their dishes.
Top Chef Canada isn’t just looking for a new host; they’ve also opened up casting for the new season, which is set to air in 2012. Think you can keep cool in the heat of the TCC kitchen? Head to the show’s website for all the details.
The winner pockets $100,000.
