The witching hour
Something wicked this way comes
My Grade 4 French teacher often confessed his worry to my mother about the Wicca books he used to find me reading in his class. For the better part of my life I truly believed I was a witch and Charmed is to blame for this. I thought I grew out of it, but I had a hard time accepting my offer to Ryerson University while I held out hope for an owl to come by with my acceptance letter to Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. It’s nine years later, and I’m still bitter about majoring in Journalism instead of Potions.
As the end of Merlin nears, we decided to celebrate all the mystical celebrities of the witching world. While every night can’t be All Hallow’s Eve, we can still enjoy the witching hour on prime time, thanks to some of these TV witches and wizards.
Abracadabra! Here are TV’s favourite witches and wizards!
Merlin’s season finale airs Sunday, Aug. 23, 8 p.m. ET, CTV/NBC.
