Let’s be civil
TV’s hard workers need a break, too
When I first was handed this Top 10 assignment, I had to ask myself, “What the heck is a Civic Holiday?!” After some deep research I learned a few things about this day. First, it happens on the first Monday of August. Second, it has a variety of names in different provinces and municipalities all over Canada. And third, it isn’t even recognized as a statutory holiday.
I still am not really sure why we have it or how it began, but most people get a day off work, so who cares? We are all working hard in these economic times and deserve a day off and so do these TV characters that are hard-working (most of them anyway) civil servants.
Take a break and check out TV’s civil servants!
