Bowie may have been under pressure from his daughter, “a huge SpongeBob fan”, when he got to play a character called Lord Royal Highness in an episode of SpongeBob. In 2006, when he recorded the episode, he wrote in his blog that he “hit the Holy Grail of animation gigs. We, the family, are thrilled. Nothing else need happen this year, well, this week anyway.”
