As nerd-bait Penny on The Big Bang Theory, Kaley Cuoco has the sunny, blonde girl-next-door thing down pat – quite literally, since she’s played Sheldon and Leonard’s takeout-munching neighbour since the CBS comedy debuted in September 2007.

But though the 26-year-old is currently rocking the ratings with Big Bang – the show is consistently in the Top 5 in Canada and the U.S. – Cuoco has appeared in television series and films since she was a mere sprite.

For the most part, she’s banked on her straight, blonde locks, rarely opting to curl them up or dye. She has, though, flirted with bangs, different lengths, highlights and textures. Style-wise, she tends to go body-conscious with bold colours complementing her California tan.

In celebration of the show recently hitting the 100-episode milestone, and bringing in its biggest numbers ever (16.3 million U.S. viewers) last week, here’s a look back at some of Cuoco’s television looks.

A bona fide beauty and fashion geek, Melissa gets a thrill analyzing all things good, bad and oh-so-fugly on television. Although she salivates for vintage stylings and brands like Roberto Cavalli, she’s equally elated to score discount duds at Winners.

Melissa is a firm believer that style should be a mix of fun, individuality and a dash of absurdity. When she’s not watching Project Runway, America’s Next Top Model or What Not to Wear, she can be found trying to whip her tangle of curls into submission. If only the “afro meets bride of Frankenstein” look was appropriate for work.
