These days, wedding-related TV shows are a dime a dozen. But it’s also TLC’s bread and butter, which is why the network has added more wedding-themed shows to its schedule.
Battle of the Wedding Planners, which features three organizers competing to create the lowest budget for an engaged couple, debuted earlier this month. Happily Ever Faster, which premières later this week, chronicles nuptials that take place at Las Vegas’s Chapel of the Flowers.
TLC will also air two sneak previews in December for shows whose regular seasons will officially première in January 2010 — Four Weddings, which follows four brides as they attend and rate each other's weddings, and Manhattan Marriage Project which chronicles Gino Filipone, part minister, part wedding planner and part therapist, who performs over 200 weddings a year and is all about creating the perfect wedding experience for his clients.
Does it sound like something you’ve already seen? Maybe. But TLC is banking on people tuning in, and considering it is wedding planning season, viewers likely will. But it got us thinking of all the other wedding series that have been on the air. Can you distinguish between them all?
Happily Ever Faster premières Nov. 20, 10 p.m. ET/PT, TLC.
