Our thoughts go out to the Osbourne family today. Their dog, Lola, who co-starred on their hit MTV reality show, has died.

TMZ is reporting that the bulldog passed away recently. The details of her death are still under wraps, but considering Lola was 12 years old in human years, it may have just been the result of old age. That is a typical lifespan for bulldogs.

Lola was often seen on The Osbournes, adorably terrorizing Sharon and Ozzy’s household, which also included their son, Jack, and daughter, Kelly. The pup continued to garner fan love over Twitter, amassing nearly 9,000 followers, and (we’re assuming with some human help) released adorable videos on YouTube.

Late Tuesday night, Lola tweeted a message from the grave, saying goodbye to her fans.

“Thank you ALL for your kind words,” she, or someone she loves, wrote. “I'm in a better place now. Heaven needs a new princess.”

Lola’s real-life loved ones are also speaking out about the tragedy. Jack took to Twitter Tuesday, breaking the bad news to fans and replying to their messages of condolences.

“It’s nice to know she was loved by so many people,” he wrote. "Lola you were the best friend anyone could ever have. I will love you and miss you always. RIP @PrincessLolaO 00-12."

Sharon added, “Lola you brought love, companionship, and fun into our home for 12 years. You will never be forgotten. Love Momma.”

Ozzy has yet to chime in, but Kelly briefly mentioned Lola Tuesday as well, saying “losing @PrincessLolaO is really taking its toal [sic] on [her].”

While The Osbournes has been off the air since 2005 and the sequel (Osbournes Reloaded) was cancelled after one 2009 episode, the family can still be found floating around the tube. Sharon is currently a judge on America’s Got Talent and Kelly is on E!’s Fashion Police.

Ozzy is still producing music and Jack has directed some films and videos featuring his dad. Jack also appeared on the Brit reality series Jack Osbourne: Adrenaline Junkie, for five seasons.
