What’s going on up there in Alaska? Is there something in the water? Whatever it is, reality stars from the cold, snowy north are grabbing headlines down here.

The latest tale concerns Captain Elliott Neese – the mother of his baby has slapped him with a restraining order.

TMZ is reporting the Deadliest Catch star, who is currently behind the controls of the Ramblin’ Rose as it trolls for crab in the Bering Sea, creeped out Valerie Gunderson so much that she filed papers against him.

Documents relay that Neese called Gunderson 38 times and typed 15 texts to her within the span of less than an hour when she refused to talk to him on Feb. 13. That’s a lot of phone calls, but still short of the record of 54 phone calls he set last month.

She alleges he is drinking and using drugs, and that he called her mother, saying, “If I can’t have (Valerie), nobody can.”

The temporary order forbids Neese from calling or contacting Gunderson in any way.

The grizzled fisherman has a history of violence against her, destroying her belongings in 2010 and getting physical with her back in 2006.

This news comes after Bering Gold star Shawn Pomrenke was booked for a DUI in January after he ran over someone in a parking lot, and Deadliest Catch’s Freddy Maugatai getting into a bar brawl with a wife and husband.
