Just in case you still can’t get enough of Jersey Shore and it’s highly tanned, highly intoxicated cast, this news should prompt a fist pump or two. MTV has set a premiere date for the spinoff starring Paul (DJ Pauly D) DelVecchio.

Simply dubbed The Pauly D Project, the reality show will bow March 29 at 10:30 p.m. ET on the U.S. cable channel as well as MTV Canada.

It takes up residence in a plum timeslot after the debut of the revamped version of Punk’d, which, reports previously said, had been scheduled to bow Feb. 19. (Stars such as Justin Bieber and Khloe Kardashian will host the new Punk’d, replacing Ashton Kutcher, who hosted the original and will serve as an executive producer in the new one.)

The Pauly D Project will leave the Jersey Shore locale of Seaside Heights, N.J., and instead follow Pauly D as he pursues his career as a DJ, reports Entertainment Weekly.

It will also show him landing a record contract with 50 Cent’s G-Note Records and opening for Britney Spears on her “Femme Fatale” tour, which happened from June to December last year. Pauly D’s Rhode Island roots will be represented too, as his friends from his home state share in the shenanigans.

Earlier this month, news broke that things weren’t going as planned with the Jersey Shore spinoff fronted by Nicole (Snooki) Polizzi and her best friend, Jenni (JWoww) Farley. The mayor of Hoboken, N.J., has denied the series filming rights in the city.

Jersey Shore will air its Season 5 finale on March 15, and follow up with a reunion special the following week.

Jersey Shore airs Thursdays at 10 p.m. ET on MTV Canada.
