If you bow down to “The Queen of all Media” (a.k.a. Perez Hilton) and his snarky website, then you should find MuchMusic’s newest addition nothing short of amazeballs. The network has picked up the infamous Hollywood gossip hound and celebrity blogger’s talk show, Perez Hilton All Access.
The interview program, which consists of four hour-long one-on-ones with stars such as Lady Gaga and Katy Perry, is set to make its Canadian debut Tuesday, Jan. 24, on Much. The show previously aired in the U.K. under the title Perez Hilton Superfan.
“I had so much fun making this show with my friends. I can’t wait to share it with everyone in Canada. As you all know, I LOVE Canada!” Hilton said in a press release.
“I am thrilled to be back on the air with Much! They are like a family to me.”
Hilton has made several appearances on the entertainment news channel, presenting at the MuchMusic Video Awards and appearing on MuchOnDemand multiple times.
According to Much, Perez Hilton All Access makes good on its title, bringing viewers “behind-the-scenes of mega star lives” and giving them “super fan access” to Gaga, Perry, Enrique Iglesias and Kelly Rowland.
The first episode of Perez Hilton All Access features Gaga, who is close friends with Hilton. In the episode, Hilton joins the singer-songwriter and avant garde fashion plate in Hollywood and Sydney, Australia.
The Tuesday night premiere will include “deliciously private and exclusive interviews,” Hilton and Gaga “cooking together in pajamas” and “backstage concert moments.” Much touts it as an “an hour of Lady Gaga, as you’ve never seen her before.”
Lady Gaga most recently appeared in the November 2011 ABC special A Very Gaga Thanksgiving, in which she was interviewed by Katie Couric.
Perez is no stranger to television, appearing as himself on recent episodes of America’s Next Top Model, The Martha Stewart Show and hosting the VH1 show What Perez Sez from 2007 to 2008.
He also has also guest-starred on Degrassi: The Next Generation, one of Canada’s biggest scripted hits. Like Perez Hilton All Access, Degrassi currently calls MuchMusic its primetime home.
