Rejoice, Wisteria Lane fans — Desperate Housewives is indeed returning for another season, despite concerns about an upcoming cancellation.

It appears as though the network’s cancellation spree last week was the end of the all the axing, and Housewives, America’s Funniest Home Videos, Dancing With the Stars, The Bachelor, Secret Millionaire, Shark Tank and 20/20 will join previously announced renewals Body of Proof, Happy Endings, Modern Family, Cougar Town, The Middle, Grey’s Anatomy, Private Practice, Castle and Saturday Night College Football.

Joining ABC’s schedule are new comedies Apartment 23, Last Man Standing, Man Up, Suburgatory and Work It, as well as freshman dramas Revenge, a Charlie’s Angels reboot, Good Christian Belles, Missing, Once Upon a Time, Pan Am, The River and Scandal.

Mind you, not all series are on tap for fall. Along with some of the new titles, Cougar Town is also being held for midseason, much to the chagrin of this writer.

While the new schedule and pickups are mainly female-centric, it does include the introduction of a new man-friendly comedy block on Tuesday nights, leading into the results portion of DWTS and Body of Proof. Additionally, it also features a return of the 10 p.m. drama on Wednesday nights.
