Well, that didn’t take long. Just two months after announcing he was leaving CBC’s Dragons’ Den, W. Brett Wilson has got himself another television gig.
Wilson has signed on to Slice’s Risky Business, which finds people risking their life savings in the hopes that their investments will pay off. Wilson’s part in the 13-episode project is to help make the investors’ dreams come true.
“As someone who enjoys the art of investing, I’m looking forward to helping Canadians look at making money in unconventional ways,” Wilson said via Slice’s press release. “This kind of high-stakes investing takes a lot of guts — but it makes the returns that much sweeter.”
Risky Business is set to air this fall; the network is currently casting for “novice investors, ranging from friends and family and family duos to married and unmarried couples, who are interested in making big money in new ways.” Slice is also on the look-out for entrepreneurs to present “high-risk, high-reward investment opportunities.”
Each episode has Wilson serving as a confidant to couples who are looking to invest their money with one of two business pitches. The couple will put their life savings behind one pitch, and Wilson will sign on with the other. The conclusion of each instalment will reveal who made the better investment.
