A juicy tidbit on House’s top docs today, but if you’d like to refrain from being spoiled please stop reading here.
Everyone else, feast your eyes on this (be warned House fans – this is sure to elicit a strong reaction):
Huddy is going to happen.
I’ll pause while that sinks in – and no, I’m not lying, as much as you Huddy haters are hoping for.
After countless episodes of chemistry and flirtation, a handful of random love interests, and a fake sexual encounter courtesy of House’s (Hugh Laurie) Vicodin hallucinations, the crotchety medical genius and his administrative boss, Cuddy (Lisa Edelstein), are going to hook up, reports EWOnline.com.
“Eventually, it’s going to happen,” eludes show creator David Shore. “This is the thing we’ve been dancing around, even before we knew we were dancing around it. They’re two very flawed people, but they’re two people that are very attracted to each other.”
“I’m a Huddy fan [too],” he adds. “Just keep watching the show.”
Well, with news like that Mr. Shore, how could we not?
I, for one, am on the fence about Huddy. While I’m super curious to see what they’d be like together, I’m afraid their fabulous bantering, which provides so much humour and light every week, would be ultimately lost in a sea of relationship garbage – something that should never be the focus of a TV medical-drama.
And, knowing there are many others viewers who feel the same way (really, why mess with a good thing), it also makes me wonder if House would slip from its coveted current spot of most-watched TV show in the world.
House airs Mondays at 8 p.m. ET on Global/Fox.
Please note that new episodes won’t air until March while the show takes a break for the 2010 Vancouver Winter Olympics.
On tonight’s repeat of “Known Unknowns,” a teen girl is brought into Princeton-Plainsboro with swollen appendages after a wild night out on the town.
