The cast for the upcoming season of Dancing With the Stars has yet to be confirmed by ABC, but there is one person the show wants: John Stamos.
OK, maybe not the show, but DWTS pro Karina Smirnoff has made it clear whom she wants to get jiggy with on the ballroom floor.
“I have a wish to dance with John Stamos,” Smirnoff told People magazine. “I wanted him to be my celebrity partner. He finished Bye Bye Birdie on Broadway and he has had enough time to rest.”
Smirnoff confirmed that Stamos (ER) has been approached to compete on ABC’s hit reality show, but the actor told her he needs a respite after his stint on Broadway, which ended in November. Smirnoff is still hopeful.
“I am a workaholic and think he needs to dance with me,” she continued. “I love 12- to 14-hour days of dancing, and I want to do it with John. He could be a great dancer.”
Last season, Smirnoff was partnered with Aaron Carter, and the two finished in fifth place. Past partners also include Mario Lopez, Billy Ray Cyrus and Rocco DiSpirito.
Remember, the 10th season of Dancing With the Stars returns March 22 with one good thing. Samantha Harris is no longer co-hosting the show with Tom Bergeron. The ABC hit still has yet to announce Harris’s replacement.
There have also been rumours that Pamela Anderson is part of the Season 10 cast, though nothing has been confirmed.
