Eddie Murphy tries ‘Model’ing
Mr. Delirious will join Tyra Banks on the season finale of America’s Next Top Model, according to E! Online. The Shrek and Nutty Professor star will lend some moral support to his daughter, Bria Murphy, when she joins the two finalists on the Nov. 18, Cycle 13 finale.
Murphy Senior won’t serve as a judge in the episode, but he will participate via sitting in the audience at a Julia Clancey fashion show.
‘Community’ and ‘Cougar’ reunions
Two series are banking on past chemistry and reuniting former cast members, it seems.
Community is bringing series star Chevy Chase and his Vacation co-star Anthony Michael Hall back together when the latter makes a guest appearance on the NBC comedy in early December.
In the episode, Hall will play a protagonist to series star Joel McHale, knocking his character’s Spanish test to the floor and making his college life a living hell.
It’s a coup for the series to nab Hall, given the show loosely follows the premise of The Breakfast Club, in which the actor starred.
Meanwhile, Cougar Town is eyeing a reunion of its own, according to Entertainment Weekly. Scott Foley joins the cast in a recurring capacity for at least three episodes in an upcoming arc as a business man searching for a house.
Foley was a frequent guest star on Scrubs, which was also from Cougar executive producer Bill Lawrence, but others may remember him Felicity’s Noel.
‘HIMYM’s ‘Privileged’ star
I can’t get enough of the gorgeous JoAnna Garcia, and it seems I’m not alone. The Privileged star is fresh off a stint on The CW’s Gossip Girl, but has already graduated to bigger and higher-rated shows, like How I Met Your Mother.
TVGuide.com reports she will join the Mother cast in a guest-starring role as Maggie, the girl Ted (Josh Radnor) has had his sights set on since high school, but who was always in a relationship — until now.
When Ted hears that his crush is finally single, he rushes to court her before his “window” closes.
The bad news? Garcia is only signed on for one episode.
‘SNL’ goes ‘Mad’
Mad Men fever is still at a high, and Saturday Night Live is taking advantage of the lasting fad.
The sketch comedy show has announced that Mad Men star January Jones will host the Nov. 14 instalment, when Black Eyed Peas appears as the night’s musical guest.
Jones joins a slew of announced talent set to appear on the series this month, including Taylor Swift, Joseph Gordon-Levitt and The Dave Matthews Band.
