Kudrow heads to ‘Cougar Town’
Although Cougar Town star Courteney Cox has openly admitted she wants to eventually have all of her former Friends co-stars on her latest primetime sitcom, Lisa Kudrow will receive the honour first.
It’s been rumoured for a few days now that Kudrow would join Cougar Town in a guest-starring role, but ABC reps made it official yesterday, saying the deal had been inked.
Kudrow will appear in an episode to air in early 2010 as a dermatologist that Jules can’t stop going to, even though the doctor is nothing but mean to her.
‘Melrose’ star replaced
Speaking of Cougar Town, Entertainment Weekly reports that Nick Zano, who is currently running around with Jules on the half-hour sitcom as her younger boy-toy, is in talks to replace Colin Egglesfield’s character on the revamped Melrose Place.
Zano would play a doctor at the hospital Michael Mancini (Thomas Calabro) and Lauren (Stephanie Jacobsen) work at, and would also move into one of the vacated apartments at the notorious complex.
Hopefully when it comes time to any make-out scenes Zano’s new character performs better than his old one. I still can’t get the scene on Cougar Town where Cox attempted to teach him to French kiss on an apple out of my head. Shudder.
Chenoweth returns to ‘Glee’
It’s official! The fabulous and unforgettable Kristin Chenoweth will return to Glee for an episode tapped to air in 2010. The Pushing Daisies alum will reprise her role as the boozy April Rhodes, according to EW’s Popwatch, for at least one top-secret episode.
If you’re a Gleek and you saw Chenoweth’s first appearance on the show, you know this should cause for celebration, depending of course on how writers choose to bring her back.
Will she be a reformed party girl ready to help out with the club or perhaps teach at the school, or will she stumble back into Will’s (Matthew Morrison) life in a fun and trashy way? Executive producer Ryan Murphy won’t say.
