UPDATE: It's official! Jake Pavelka was named ABC's new Bachelor during last night's Dancing With the Stars episode, reports ETonline.com. Look for The Bachelor's 14th season to debut in January.
If this rumour rings true, my mom is going to be one happy camper – USmagazine.com is reporting that Jake Pavelka will be named ABC’s next Bachelor.
The 31-year-old commercial pilot first made women swoon when he appeared on the fifth season of The Bachelorette to vie for Jillian Harris’s affections. Unfortunately, the Dallas native was eliminated during the sixth episode.
It seems his luck may have taken a turn for the better, though.
A 25-year-old Tennessee woman named Brittney Gammel is claiming Pavelka will be the next to find true love. She also told local TV station WKRN that she’ll be one of the ladies competing for the final rose.
According to her, the The Bachelor’s 14th season (!) begins taping in November and will debut in January.
So much for confidence, though. The competition has yet to begin and Gammel, also a pilot, already feels a romance with Pavelka wouldn’t work: “We’d never see each other!” she exclaims.
The Letter network isn’t ready to verify any details right now, though. ABC says, “We are not going to confirm who the Bachelor is or if this women is even one of the bachelorettes. People need to tune into Dancing with the Stars on Oct. 13 to find out the real identity of the next Bachelor.”
