While recent talks about Grey’s Anatomy have focused on the reported departures of Katherine Heigl and T.R. Knight, no one has considered the possibility of a former star returning.
But Kate Walsh, who currently stars in Grey’s spinoff Private Practice and just finished a two-episode guest stint on her former show, isn’t opposed to returning to Seattle Grace.
“I might [return],” Walsh hinted to Usmagazine.com. “Who knows what’s in the mind of [show creator] Shonda Rhimes?”
Of the crossover episodes she filmed on her old set, Walsh said, “I loved it. It’s always fun to go back.”
The actress was in good spirits about her recent split from husband Alex Young. “I’m about to wrap Private Practice and I’m having a great time. I’m thrilled with the numbers, and I’m in a great place.”
The couple, who wed in September 2007, split a little over a year after they got hitched. But Star magazine reported that Young filed for divorce in December because of the closeness between Walsh and her PP love interest David Sutcliffe.
