Have you heard? The Simpsons are doing a crossword crossover with Merl Reagle, the crossword puzzle creator extraordinaire.
In the Nov. 16 episode of The Simpsons, Reagle will appear as a cartoon version of himself when Lisa Simpson enters a crossword puzzle competition and takes it to her own level – obsession.
Will Shortz, the puzzle editor of the New York Times, also makes an appearance. In order for this to be a complete crossover crossword extravaganza, the Nov. 16 New York Times Sunday crossword puzzle will feature the yellow family.
As Reagle once told Oprah, he knows a lot of “Baloney,” but we know a lot about The Simpsons.
So while Reagle created all the crosswords we’ll see on the upcoming episode, we challenge you to try our (much) simplified Simpsons edition below.
