In a nutshell: Four detectives of the Major Case Squad step into the minds of criminals and trace the psychological steps of each crime they’re assigned.
Predictions: Now in its seventh season, Detectives Goren, Eames, Logan and Wheeler tackle different cases including, the murder of three college freshmen, and the death of a writer and figuring out whether her torture was tied to the neighbourhood she came from.

Show: So You Think You Can Dance Date: Airs Wednesdays and Thursdays at 8 p.m. ET, returned May 22, CTV/FOX In a nutshell: Amateur dancers compete in every type of dance for the title of America’s Favorite Dancer. Predictions: After all the krumping, breaking, mamboing, salsaing, jiving, hip-hopping, foxtrotting, quickstepping, waltzing and Broadwaying, I feel like a contemporary dancer will once again take the prize, just like last year’s winner, Sabra. |

Show: Swingtown Date: Thursday, June 5, 10 p.m. ET, CBS/Global In a nutshell: This controversial new show has characters Susan and Bruce Miller moving to a Chicago suburb in 1976 and discovering a provocative new lifestyle shown to them by their new neighbours, Tom and Trina Decker. While the Millers re-evaluate their own moral code they try not to alienate old friends, Janet and Roger Thompson. At the same time, the Thompson and Miller children explore their own morality and sexuality. Predictions: A show about swinging can only mean one thing: a lot of cast members getting hot and sweaty. Be prepared to wipe the fog off your TV screen. |

Date: Thursday, July 10, 8 p.m. ET, CBS
In a nutshell: This reality show follows dog owners and their furry friends as they live under one roof, while competing to see who is the Greatest American Dog.
Predictions: Dogs in close proximity can only lead to them sniffing and licking each other. Who came up with this?! Get cancelled rubber stamp ready.
Show: Fear Itself
Date: Thursday, May 29, 10 p.m. ET, E!/NBC
In a nutshell: Hurrah! It’s not reality! Fear Itself is a 13-episode suspense and horror anthology series featuring boundary-pushing talent. Personalities involved in front of and behind the camera include John Landis (An American Werewolf in London), Darren Bousman (Saw II, III and IV), Cynthia Watros (Lost), Eric Roberts (Heroes) and John Billingsley (Star Trek: Enterprise).
Predictions: Nothing says “summer” like a good horror flick, and a series like this could really claw onto an audience. Muhahahaha!
Show: Last Comic Standing Date: Thursday, May 22, 9:30 p.m. ET/PT, Global/NBC; returns for its regular slot on May 29, 8:30 p.m. ET In a nutshell: This reality show continues to bring the funny with its sixth season. In their search for the funniest undiscovered comedian, the judges will scour 15 countries for comics, all of whom are dying to be named the winner and take away the top prize – an NBC talent deal, a new Honda and $250,000. Bill Bellamy (Def Comedy Jam, Any Given Sunday) will once again serve as host, and is joined by special correspondent/U.K. personality Fearne Cotton. Predictions: Comedians will make jokes, and we will laugh. What more could you ask for? |
