Pre-strike: Same old, same old. People go missing and the team locates them (more often dead than alive). But Jack’s tough way of interrogating perps seemed to have taken a turn for the worse. He played the stereotypical ‘bad cop,’ roughing suspects up to get them to spill the beans. Also, a lot more episodes ended with him drinking scotch in his office. I see therapy in his near future.

Post-strike: The theme of post-strike shows seems to be the return of old cases, as the drama with Jen Long continues. I also found the post-strike episodes to be a lot more action-packed. I enjoyed the continuing storyline of the sex trafficking ring, as it gives the plot more structure and it's not just about the missing person and investigation. I also hope they return to the whole Samantha-being-pregnant storyline, because I need some closure there.

Character Development: The whole gang is back and Jack is even more messed up than before the strike. With him still dealing with the Jen Long case and his post-traumatic stress disorder, Jack’s judgment has become even more fuzzy. I think it’s safe to say he needs some help. How long until this guy loses his job or takes a leave of absence? I seriously don’t think he can take much more.

Cliffhangers/Wrap Up: The nightmare is finally over for Jen Long, as Jack shot the man who had been tormenting her. I liked that Jack got to be the hero in this one, but I wonder what the consequences of his mental state will be. I hope the end of this case for Jen means Jack will finally have some piece of mind, though I doubt it.
