alum Lauren Conrad will be a guest judge on Sept. 16, while Kim Kardashian sits in the fourth seat on Oct. 21. Other guest judges include models Chanel Iman (Sept. 9), China Chow (Sept. 30), Josie Maran (Oct. 7) and Kirsty Hume (Oct. 28). Jessica Lowndes, who plays Adrianna on 90210, will stop by on Oct. 31 to put the contestants’ interviewing skills to the test.

Also, special CW promos gave fans a closer peek at five of this cycle’s contestants. Among the tidbits gleaned: Nicole’s childhood nickname was “Bloody Eyeball,” Lulu is gay, and Laura castrates cows. – MH

CBC has revealed that we’ll learn more about Dr. Tom and his colleague Dr. Naadiah, as well as another therapist. Josh’s relationships with Sam and Erica will continue to unravel, and Erica will discover more about her time travel. “Someone will learn Erica’s secret this year,” executive producer Aaron Martin told TVWeek.com. “It will complicate her life, and everything she thought she’s achieved in her therapy. – MH

The sex scene from last season will have a lasting effect on Brennan and Booth’s relationship, even though it didn’t happen for real. As Booth struggles to recall both memories and skills, he also rediscovers Brennan.

regular John Oliver will return as Professor Duncan for a couple of episodes, show runner Dan Harmon told press: "John Oliver will be back as much as humanly possible because we love him. I can tell you for certain that he'll be in two episodes in the first 12. We would love to have him in as many as possible." – MH

CSI: Miami
Apparently, Delko is found in the first two minutes of the première and is unconscious. The flashback sequence begins while he’s en route to the hospital, reports EW.com. The ambulance is driving and the camera will close in on the licence plate, which says ’09. Then, the licence plate changes to ’97 and suddenly Delko’s alive and well, in a tow truck.

Also, new series regular Eddie Cibrian will play an officer who transfers from the robbery homicide department in L.A. But we actually get our first glimpse of the former Third Watch star in the aforementioned flashback sequences, when he crosses paths with some of our vets in 1997. – DW

Meanwhile Wisteria Lane gets a new family, The Bolens, who get off to a rocky start with Julie, and a familiar face returns – Jesse Metcalfe as divorced gardener John for Episodes 3 and 4, when he’s chased by Gabby’s niece, Ana. – AD

Tyra Banks joins the Upper East Side in the fourth episode as a troublemaking co-star in Hillary Duff’s fictional movie. Serena will have to quash her shenanigans when she takes on a job as a publicist. As for Chuck and Blair, E! reports they will pair during the season première and won’t split anytime soon. – AD

ABC has been curiously mum about show details, and what was widely regarded as a very unfunny pilot is being re-shot. – MH

Heartland
A blog on Heartland’s official Facebook page announced that cast members filmed scenes in a wooded area near Kananaskis country, south of Calgary, in May. The post reads, “As to why we are so far from our usual filming locations, for the opening scene of episode 301 we needed to shoot in a remote area where we could shut down traffic for a couple of days, because we were staging a giant dramatic scene on a highway where ...” And then it infuriatingly cuts off. So much for spoilers. – MH

Heroes
Masi Oka says time travel will be featured again this season, while Milo Ventimiglia was spotted exiting his trailer sporting a huge made-up chest wound. Looks like Peter Petrelli is going to get shot. – GD

How I Met Your Mother
Ted’s new gig at Columbia University put him closer than ever to the titular mother, and creator Craig Thomas told EW.com the suspense will continue to build. “We've gotten some great material out of that, including a whole story that plays almost like a horror movie,” he said. “Suspenseful ominous music is playing and at any point Ted can round a corner and run into the mother.” – MH

Lie to Me
We’ll meet Cal’s longtime rival, an on-camera expert in the same field as our human lie detector. Some other tidbits revealed by the Chicago Tribune are just as juicy: Erika Christensen will play a person with multiple personalities in the season premiere; we’ll find out about Cal’s murky past; and Foster will try to adopt a child.

Also, EW.com reports show runner Shawn Ryan will concentrate on more character development and add some adrenaline. Cal will tell some of his own fibs, and we’ll delve more into his relationship with his daughter. The Thanksgiving episode will be set on Black Friday, and a discount store stampede will turn deadly. Plus, Eli will be completely silent in one episode. – MH

Creator Glenn Gordon Caron told press that in a Halloween-themed episode, Allison will find herself in the classic 1968 horror film Night of the Living Dead for one of her dream sequences. – MH

Is you haven’t heard by now, the dead body in the pool in the first episode belongs to Sydney Andrews, played by Laura Leighton. Her murder is the main mystery surrounding the first few episodes of the season, when Leighton is seen in various Sunset Boulevard-type flashbacks. Later on we’ll see guest-star appearances from Sydney’s sister, Jane (Josie Bissett) and producers promise Jo Reynolds (Daphne Zunga) will be “back with a vengeance.” – AD

NCIS
Looks like romance is in the cards for Tony and Ziva. Executive-producer Shane Brennan told EW.com their relationship “will evolve rapidly,” and continue through several episodes. "You can’t have an on-again, off-again relationship like this that isn’t on-again at some point in a very unexpected way,” he said.

Also, the show is currently casting for a new recurring male agent in his 30s. – MH

NCIS: Los Angeles
CBS tweeted that NCIS’s Abby will show up in Episode 2 of the spinoff to help the new team solve a case. Another NCISer, Vance will appear in at least six of the first 13 episodes of Los Angeles. The first episode will focus on Callen (Chris O'Donnell) and his first day at work after the shootout we saw in the NCIS episode "Legend, Part 2," says EW.com. We’ll find out more of what happened to Callen that day and afterwards in a sweeps episode. – MH

Series co-creator Cheryl Heuton told TVGuide.com, "It won't be too long before we find out Amita's answer to Charlie's marriage proposal." But the couple will have to discuss some issues first. Isn’t that always the case? – MH

One Tree Hill
It’s hard for fans to gauge how the seventh season of One Tree Hill will go without key players Chad Michael Murray and Hilarie Burton, but fear not, we have much to look forward to.

Another time jump is in store for the residents of Tree Hill. A year later, Nathan is playing his dream in the NBA for the Charlotte Bobcats and we get to meet his sexy new agent Clay (Robert Buckley, Lipstick Jungle). Haley’s sister Quinn comes to town, and there’s always trouble when another James sister stops by. Things have turned around for Brooke – her latest love Julian is back in her life and she revives her troublesome relationship with her mother Victoria. Let’s see how long it lasts.

Redhead troublemaker Danneel Harris is back as Rachel Gatina, who’s shackled up with a certain father figure. We expect some serious trouble from a groupie named Renee (Kate French, Gossip Girl), who targets Nathan as her baby’s daddy. Poor Nathan and Haley – those two just can’t catch a break. An unlikely resident might start modeling for Clothes Over Bros, and the most unlikely of people go to jail while another has their own talk show.

Get ready for more drama and nakedness, just the way we like it in Tree Hill. – CF

Private Practice
Episode 3 is a crossover episode featuring Chandra Wilson (Dr. Bailey), who visits the clinic to perform “an interesting medical procedure.”

Shonda Rhimes told TVGuide.ca the first episode takes place 20 minutes after the last one ended, and Amy Brenneman told us there is a few months time lapse between the first and second episode. She also confirmed that Violet makes it through the ordeal, and won’t be a ghost (or vision) in the upcoming season.

Meanwhile, wandering eyes on the Private Practice set confirm that Naomi has indeed moved out of her office, and there is a massive amount of toys in the waiting room. – AD

Saturday Night Live Weekend Update Thursday
While the show hasn’t yet announced who will regularly sit in the anchor’s seat next to Seth Meyers, we know Amy Poehler will return to the spot in two episodes – Sept. 17 and Sept. 24 – as a lead-in to her sitcom, Parks and Recreation. – MH

Supernanny
When Jo Frost visits the Plensto family, she discovers that three teenagers – John (15), Eddie (14) and Kate (13) – are doing most of the work caring for their three sisters – Jessica (5), Ridi (4) and Maya (3). The elder Plenstos are also home-schooling themselves, so they ask Frost to get their parents, Henry and Jane, to step up to the plate. – MH

Supernatural
Unlikely prophet Chuck will return to help our demon-fighting heroes, says EW.com, and Nathaniel's friend Archangel Raphael will pop up in a recurring role. He is a mechanic who’s possessed by an incredibly powerful being.

Creator Eric Kripke told reporters that the Croatoan virus and Meg storylines will wrap up this year, and one episode will beam Dean five years in the future to see a world ravaged by Lucifer. Also, the Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse will appear driving customized muscle cars, as will mythological creatures from the Bible and the homicidal ghost of Abraham Lincoln. Maybe even God will grace the show as well. Paris Hilton will also guest-star. – MH

The Big Bang Theory
Johnny Galecki (Leonard) told TVGuide.ca he, Kunal Nayyar (Raj) and Simon Helberg (Wolowitz) grew out beards all summer for either the première of Big Bang, or else it was “a cruel joke” by co-creator Chuck Lorre.

When Leonard returns he and Penny will give dating a real try, but don’t except them to hook up just yet. As for Penny and Sheldon, co-creator Bill Prady assures TVGuide.ca that isn’t happening anytime soon. – AD

The Beautiful Life
Mischa Barton has resumed filming on the show after being involuntarily put under psychiatric hold in July, so her character Sonja will likely stick around after all. Elle Macpherson and Corbin Bleu have been promoted to series regulars, says EW.com, while Jordan Woolley (who appeared in the pilot) will only last until the end of the second episode. – MH

The Biggest Loser
This season of the weight-loss show will deviate from the couples format. “We’re going back to singles and contemplating doing something really unique,” executive producer J.D. Roth told The Hollywood Reporter. ”We’re going to study the fattest cities in America – we’re going to try to cast in those cities and add things into those cities to help them change their ways and to get off that list.” – MH

Wanda Sykes told reporters at the Television Critics Association that her show won’t feature too many musical guests, but that if former U.S. vice-president Dick Cheney puts out a hip-hop album, "we're booking him." – MH

'Til Death
Season 4 (though it’s really the remainder of Season 3’s episodes) will kick off with the episode “Snore Loser.” Eddie will be treated for his sleep apnea and stop snoring, but Joy will discover she needed Eddie’s snoring to help her sleep. – MH

Two and a Half Men
Rock guitarist Eddie Van Halen will make a guest appearance, says EW.com. Apparently, Halen is a huge fan of Two and a Half Men. Who knew? – MH

Ugly Betty

reports the series is working to develop a new love interest for Betty, but that Matt will be around as a series regular this season. – AD
