SUDSIEST QUOTES OF THE WEEKEND
“I’ve been at the other end of that as well. In fact, when people I haven’t seen in a while say they want to Google me, I always tell them: don’t. I think it just comes from the fact that there’s a huge amount of intensity about soaps. He’s an easy target because he’s the big boss, and the web is an anonymous way to express displeasure, and you don’t know if there’s actually many people who are displeased, or just four people expressing their displeasure many times. We’ve all done controversial things; some didn’t work, others were risks that paid off. Fans don’t really like change, so such things get them stirred up.”
GH mistress Jill Farren Phelps to Wall Street Journal on the online vitriol against Brian Frons and ABC
Translation: Don’t Google The Suds Report, I beg of you!

“Yes, I play a lesbian in Venice, and my boyfriend, Brandon Beemer, is very excited about that. He wanted to come with me today, and I would not let him.” [Laughs]
—Nadia Bjorlin to The Advocate’s Michael Fairman
Translation: I’m not sharing Crystal Chappell with anyone! Plus, he had to clean our sex dungeon!

WEEKEND SUDS FLASH
Clarke recovering from stroke!

• Is the Venice set cursed? The latest actor to experience a health setback is Emmy winner Jordan Clarke, who suffered a stroke and is recovering. “Jordan Clarke was in L.A. working on Venice,” said a spokesperson for the actor. “He had a mild stroke between L.A. and N.Y. His prognosis is good and he's expected to fully recover.”

• When does Martha Byrne sleep? The Emmy winner has just launched her new online soap, Gotham’s new website here.

• Miss La Zimmer? Emmy winner Kim Zimmer took The New York Times along to shop for her new L.A. apartment. Clearly, Zimmer doesn’t need the lazy TeleNext PR team to help her nab mainstream publicity. Also, the Zimster is looking fierce these days.
