Day 2 of the America’s Got Talent eliminations concluded last night at the Palms Casino in Las Vegas. The previous night brought 17 acts to the Top 40, while the remaining contestants faced their fate in last night’s episode.

Sadly, many people were disappointed in the entertainment capital of the world, as the judges eliminated several acts in what seemed like the longest process in the world.

A dance-off between dance crews Euphoria, Destined 2 B and Breaksk8 was the only way judges could determine which crew to put through. They all had 12 hours to choreograph a routine to the same song and then perform for the judges. I wasn’t feeling the song choice, but at least Breaksk8 was. The dance troupe, previously seen on America’s Best Dance Crew, made it into the Top 40 with their always-entertaining choreography on roller skates.

By the end of the episode, 39 acts were in while one spot remained for either Mia (a contestant last year) or 26-year-old Kelly Glover, who appeared in the first season of American Idol. Kelly didn’t take her elimination well and was consoled by a big hug from the Hoff himself (Personally, I’m not sure which is worse, hugging the Hoff or the elimination.)

Some other noteworthy acts that were put through were:
• Grandma Lee, the old and funny lady
• Bri, 17-year-old high school student who sang a cover of "Burnin’ Up," by the JoBros
• Footworkings from Chicago, no one can move as fast as them
• Alicia, the funny little singer
• Mario and Jenny, the sexy and dangerous juggling chainsaw couple
• Voices of Glory
• Marcus from the MySpace auditions made it through without his three ladies, who the judges thought were bringing him down

Next Tuesday, the Top 40 find themselves live in Hollywood, but it may not be smooth sailing for all them as the judges get a phone call from Simon Cowell himself letting them know there’s a very serious problem about who they’ve chosen.

America’s Got Talent airs Tuesdays and Wednesdays at 9 p.m. ET on A/NBC
