I always love it when you guys write in when I ask for your input, and this time was no exception. Last week I asked you whether or not you agreed with my assessment that Gene Simmons quit the Apprentice. Here's what you had to say:
Without Gene Simmons, I won't bother watching the rest of the Apprentice, he made the show, the others are boring and lack creativity. He's arrogant, that's for sure, but I love him despite it. - Debbie
I agree completely with your analysis. I think Gene played long enough to get the $20,000 for his charity, realized he could be doing a lot more stuff he enjoyed rather than spend what - 13 weeks? - on The Apprentice, and deliberately left The Donald with no choice. - Ann
Who could blame him for wanting out even if it was by way of a suicidal stunt (crafted by the shows producers). - Kim
You are absolutely right! Simmons did want off and I'm sure he thought he has better things to do then to prove to people he has what it takes. He's very sure of himself and he's very confident. In my opinion, Gene Simmons bows to nobody! - Amy
If you read the KISS Army website or Gene Simmons website you will see there has been a KISS tour put on hold including booking dates for 2008, because GENE was on that show. I am sure there is more money for him on tour and some pressure there. - Jymi
Absolutely correct! Gene Simmons never does anything randomly without motivation...and his motivation is always self-serving! - Cheryl
I'm a huge Gene fan, and no matter what anybody says, the man is doing exactly what he wants to do, and doing it very, very well. He's a hard worker, focused and smart. I think the Apprentice was probably taking too much of his time. - Marty
There is no doubt that he wanted out and why wouldn’t he. The rest of the contestants bring nothing to the show. Gene had to lower his standards and abilities which is not in his nature. - John

I do love the show, but what really (irks) me is that if Gene committed to being on the show and give it his all, even with his arrogance, and then acts the way he did, He deserves to be fired. Fired in every way. - Freda
Gene Simmons is a brilliant businessman and should have held back his "macho" image and done this for charity. He can still be the lady killer on his own show. - Pam
On Apprentice or Off ... I think Gene Simmons is a pig. He looks like some old-washed-up porn star who should stop dying his straw hair, and grow up. I appreciate his 'talent' as a KISS performer, but surely he could wear a wig for the stage? I'm sure he would look much more attractive letting himself age graciously, and not have to remind the female population how he's slept with most of us- Rita
