ON 'DANCING WITH THE STARS' DANCERS CALLING CO-STARS OVERWEIGHT

Both Lacey and Cheryl are absolutely gorgeous and stunning, they are not overweight AT ALL!  They're curvy and sexy and, being a teenage girl, I find this refreshing. We're constantly bombarded with these images of super-skinny actresses and models. Thankfully, I have other, real people, influencing my life so I don't feel as though that is what I should look like. Unfortunately, I've seen the effects on some of the girls (and guys) I know.

I've been watching Lacey since her SYTYCD days and Cheryl since the beginning of DWTS and love them both. From what I've seen, both Maks and Louis have fairly big egos and even bigger mouths, so who cares what they think anyways right? I know that I don't. Not anymore anyways. - Samantha

ON MELISSA BRAZIER'S 'WHO ARE YOU WEARING?' REVIEW

I recently appeared on a show called "Who Are You Wearing" on TLC. I read your review and I wanted to say sorry you didn’t enjoy the contestants. You said I was "inexperienced and an optimistic designer." I am extremely passionate about what I do and I am very optimistic about everything because I have to be. I am experienced in the real world of fashion and I know its not all glamorous. So trust me, I'm young but not stupid – I’m ready to face the world and I’m not afraid of a thing. I am optimistic because I have to be and God gives me strength everyday to keep going. Thank you for your time and I agree with you, it is a great show. - Anna Estella

ON DARIO AND ROMINA'S 'SO YOU THINK YOU CAN DANCE CANADA' EXIT

The fact that Canada votes destroys the whole meaning of the competition. The judges should be voting, not Canada! What does Canada know?? People can call in over and over for their friends to win!! Of course, CTV thinks they might lose profit if there is not that audience participation, which in retrospect, really does lose audiences, because I was watching strictly to see my favourite dancer, Romina ... what power! She was the best of them all! Now I don't even want to tune in. - Barbara

ON MELISSA HANK'S  'THE SOPHOMORE SLUMP' FEATURE

The problem with these shows isn’t the ‘sophomore curse’ but the way networks air them. With the late-season airing of many of the premières, all the broadcast interruptions and the lack of advertising, it’s hard for viewers to know when their shows are on, or if they’ve returned at all!

I personally loved Dirty Sexy Money, Lipstick Jungle and Chuck, and was so happy when last year saw a rise in scripted programs. But since the writers' strike, the term ‘regularly scheduled program’ has almost disappeared – people have unfortunately become accustomed to a prime time scheduling that fluctuates as much as gas prices do.  - Linda

ON 'DANCING WITH THE STARS' LACK OF TALENT

I totally agree about the lack of talent! Cloris was fun to watch the first few episodes, but now it's getting old. We all know that it’s a popularity contest, but come on people, at least keep the dancers on who actually have a chance to improve.

As for Julianne, I feel for her, but I'm sure she can bounce back like the rest of us! I have the same problem and had no difficulties recouping; she's young and fit, all will be well! - Becky

ON SHAUN ARCHER'S OUTSKIRTS COLUMN, 'HOW TO HUNT GHOSTS'

I've been an amateur ghost researcher for about 20 years now. Previously, I didn't care about ghosts. I was busy with work and starting a new relationship. Then I moved into a haunted apartment — my experiences with my ghost changed my life. Over the last decade, I've been helping people (as a public service) understanding their hauntings. I now conduct workshops and lectures on ghosts and the different energies that may be confused for ghosts. I'm currently traveling around Ontario, sharing my unique experiences with believers and skeptics alike (I'm a skeptical believer myself).  I believe in ghosts, but I remain objective in my investigations and  share audio and visual evidence as well as my experiences.

Have you had a haunted experience yourself? 47% of Canadians believe in ghosts and 19% say they have encountered a ghost, while 9% say they have lived with a ghost ... That would make over three million haunted homes in Canada alone!!! I believe the number is higher. - Cameron
