In the end, it was John Rhode who captured the title of The Biggest Loser for Season 12. The 41-year-old special education teacher and football coach from Mesa, Arizona, walked away with $250,000 after shedding an astounding 220 pounds from his frame.

Runner-up Antone Davis lost 202 pounds while third-place finisher Ramon Medeiros lost 154 pounds. The trio were just three of the 15 contestants who showed up at The Biggest Loser ranch and changed their lives forever.

Now, with 20 new participants ready to train with Dolvett and Bob this Tuesday, we look back and celebrate the hard work Season 12's contestants went through to get healthy.

The Biggest Loser returns Tuesday, Jan. 3, at 8 p.m. ET on Omni1/NBC
