When the whole Twilight phenomenon began, I didn’t really understand what all the fuss was about, whether it be the book, the movie, or that Robert Pattinson guy.

It even helped revive the vampire obsession — along with Moonlight and True Blood — but I still didn’t get it. (I also don’t get what all the fuss is about with Harry Potter, but I digress.)

As time went by, the fascination only grew. Everyone at work seemed to be reading the books in a matter of hours, all my friends were addicted, and at family functions, my sisters-in-law would gush and swoon over one Edward Cullen.

Huh?

But then, a couple of weeks ago, I had the house to myself (Hubby was in the hospital recovering from surgery, while the kid was sleeping over at her cousins’) and while I was folding laundry, I turned on the TV and TMN was airing Twilight. I missed the first 15 minutes, but it was too late — I was hooked.

Having not read the books (and no plans to, either), I was enthralled by the relationship between Edward and Bella, and what was going to happen to them, particularly, to her. But while I enjoyed the movie, I don’t think I could get as invested in it the way millions of others have.

But for those who are consumed by all things Twilight, MuchMusic has the perfect thing to whet your vampire-living appetites. The MuchNews: New Moon Special will feature interviews with the cast of New Moon, will test fanatics’ knowledge with Twilight trivia, show a timeline of the love interests of Pattinson, Kristen Stewart and Taylor Lautner as well as introducing viewers to the newbies of the latest in the Twilight saga. The New Moon Special will also show viewers how to get the Twilight look (I’m thinking stay out of the sun for a really long time), and behind-the-scenes footage of the cast.

With The Twilight Saga: New Moon opening later this week, the MuchNews special is the perfect way to gear up for the second instalment of the series. But I’m not gonna lie — I still don’t know what’s so great about Pattinson.

MuchNews: New Moon Special airs Tuesday, Nov. 17, 10 p.m. ET, MuchMusic
